Farmer’s Market Bounty: June 29, 2008

July 4, 2008

Spurred by my interest in gauging how the Market (and my eating habits) change seasonally, I began documenting my weekly shopping. This marks the beginning of my Farmer’s Market Bounty series.

This week the Market was teeming with summer fruit — peaches, pluots, apricots, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries. We also picked up some corn, grapefruit, avocado, tomatoes (heirloom and romas), haricot verts, english shelling peas, shitake mushrooms, carrots, cantaloupe, apples arugula, leeks, apples, basil, chives, figs, chocolate mint, sage, thyme, radishes, and heirloom zucchini.
